Suggestions for SAMEDA

I as the marketing director of SAMEDA would like to ask our tribe members if there are any subjects or issues in our local dance scene that you would like SAMEDA to focus on for the coming year.

    Hi! I was wondering if a tribal bellydance focused event could be planned? I don't think I have seen too many of those (except for Tribal Cafe in Riverside). Perhaps a world drum and dance event as well?

      Are you familiar with:
      - Summer Caravan
      - Tribal Feat
      - Gathering of the Tribes
      - Tribal Fest

      All SAMEDA events are open to all styles - we are currently working on making our Tribal scene more visible in the organization.

      I will definitely take your suggestion with me to the next board meeting.

        Hi! Still getting used to all the events going on here in SD as we just moved here about 4 months ago or so. Will have to look up those events. Are they already planned? What are the dates? Thanks!

          Oh cool, if you're new in town you might want to check out the Urban Trouble, Yo tribe - Heather puts on great events.

          Also, Atash Maya Dance Co.

          Also, Tribal SD style.

          If you are not a member of SAMEDA yet, feel free to join at www.sdsameda.com - the monthly newsletter gives great info about whats going on in the SD area.

          - Gathering of the Tribes (www.gottribes.org/ - they also have a tribe here on tribe.net)
